During the Jerry Krause rebuild after the dynasty was broken up, the Bulls once lost 37 straight games on the circus trip from 2000-04 until an 0-9 Bulls team snapped it in Utah on Nov. 24, 2004. There have been other crushing moments on the trip, including when Jordan broke a bone in his left foot in a game against the Warriors in Oakland, Calif., on the first game of the trip in 1985 and when Derrick Rose tore his right meniscus in Portland in 2013, ending his comeback after he missed the 2012-13 season.

“It was a beautiful experience,” Sánchez said of the honor through an interpreter during a conference call Wednesday. “This past week, I was able to have good stats, numbers, and it’s definitely a good thing. It’s something that motivates you and makes you feel good. It definitely makes you feel good when you do better, and that’s what you want.”
Best — and weirdest — amenities: The 305-foot-high structure features a facade made of a lightweight plastic and oculus retractable roof, which is made of eight triangular pieces that can open or close within 10 minutes. A 61,000-square-foot outdoor fan plaza stands outside the stadium, and a 41½-foot-tall, stainless-steel statue of a falcon is located outside the stadium. The halo-shaped video board, located around the opening of the retractable roof, is 63,800 square feet. Its 360-degree screen is 58 feet tall by 1,100 feet around.
