The United Center announced Monday it will lift mask restrictions for attendees at upcoming concerts, Bulls and Blackhawks games following a statewide move to reduce mask requirements. Fans will still be required to present a negative COVID-19 test or proof of vaccination to enter the arena, but will not be required to wear a mask.

FIFA declined to ban Russia from the World Cup over the weekend. Instead, the soccer body said the country’s national team will have to compete as Football Union of Russia as punishment. Besides Poland, both Sweden and the Czech Republic, Russia’s next potential opponents, have said they would refuse to take the field against them.
“The zero-based budgeting exercise mentioned in the gender-equity report has been very detailed and time-consuming in a good way,” said Dan Gavitt, the NCAA senior vice president of basketball. “We’ve taken every budget line for men’s and women’s basketball championships and compared and contrasted them. Where there have been discrepancies, we’ve had significant discussions about the equity stand point. In many cases, they’ve been adjusted to the tune of millions of dollars.”
