Federer told SRF his rehabilitation was progressing well enough that he was now thinking in terms of playing again. Previously, he said the motivation for undergoing surgery last August was to protect his future quality of life with his family rather than return to competitive tennis.
“I remember being a (physical education) teacher and thinking, ‘I am a basketball player,’ and my 8:30 class happened to be basketball,” Quigley said. “I remembering thinking, ‘I am just going to skip it and get some sleep since I am on the basketball team.’ He found out, and it was the scariest day of my life.”

“I’ve been in this position a couple of times, third time being a head football coach. Each one of them, you kind of say, ‘OK, what would I do differently? I wish I had done this,’” Smith said. “A lot of times guys become a head coach and they quit coaching. That’s just not me. I coached the nickel position last year, and I was always going to be a part of it. People always say, ‘What are you going to do with time, game management and all that?’ There’s enough time to do that.”

Thompson wasn’t even on the Bulls roster when the incident occurred — although he was in Milwaukee that night as a member of the Sacramento Kings, preparing to face the Bucks the following night. Even as a late addition, however, Thompson said the foul brought out an edge in his fellow Bulls players.
Valentine, 30, who looks young enough to be a fifth-year grad student, inherited a team that brought back several of its top players, including Lucas Williamson, Marquise Kennedy and Braden Norris while adding Dartmouth graduate transfer Chris Knight to help keep the flame going. Despite some hiccups, including a long layoff from COVID-19 postponements, they’re where they wanted to be.
