A black Jeep traveling south in the 1500 block of West 74th Street ran a red light at 12:38 a.m. Sunday and T-boned a vehicle with two people inside, according to Chicago police. The driver of the car that was hit, an unidentified male, was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. An unidentified female, who was also in the car that was hit, also suffered trauma to the body and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition, police said.
