A variety of civilian stunt pilots and demonstration teams such as Sean Tucker’s Team Oracle and the Matt Chapman Air Show would perform short segments over a full day of air- and water-born spectacles, announced by “Voice of the Show” Herb Hunter. But the 2021 show will just feature a “special solo demonstration” from the Blue Angels.
“For this project, I wanted to recreate a historical moment in some way. After going through a number of famous art pieces, this one really stood out as a perfect moment in time,” Bentel said. “Being a product designer, I see products as storytelling objects. They tell a story about aesthetics, the time place you’re in, the materials, and how they were made.”
