June is Men’s Health Month, emphasizing the importance of men’s wellness and the need for attention and care.

“Man-Up, Chicago’s Men’s Health, Wellness, and Lifestyle Expo,” takes place on Saturday (June 24), at the Epiphany Arts Center in Chicago, Illinois, from 10 am to 4 pm.

The event aims to promote a healthy lifestyle through exercise, a balanced diet, and good mental practices to prevent and manage various health conditions affecting men, including prostate cancer.

Man-Up also focuses on educating and encouraging wellness checkups, particularly among Men of Color in the Chicagoland area.

The expo covers a wide range of health concerns such as heart disease, diabetes, obesity, mental health, and sexual health. By adopting healthy habits like quitting smoking, reducing alcohol consumption, and regular exercise, individuals can significantly reduce their risk of developing these conditions.

The event will feature celebrity appearances from members of the NFL Alumni Association, Hien Tran (recently named Mister Fitness Supermodel 2023), and Siddiqu Muhammad (celebrity trainer and CEO of Chicago Fit for Life). Sponsors for the event include Pfizer, David Yurman, Macy’s, Dior, Clinique, Shsiedo, Imagen Consultants, and Erie Family Centers.
