Three days and a crush of fame later, she wasn’t quite right. The result was a bronze-medal finish that left her disappointed.

“Cole and I have gotten together, and in the passing game, we’ve talked through a lot of clips to be able to run certain routes, and I wasn’t able to do that last year in training camp with him,” Nagy said. “Now in OTAs he’d come up to my office and we’ll watch some routes and we’ll put it into fruition in OTAs. Now he gets to do it in training camp. So I think you’ll see him keep growing, and our relationship is building in the trust of how we work with each other.”
“Every day that I come in, it’s the same hunger and passion and love and energy that I have for the game when I was an undrafted guy,” Mustipher said. “I feel like I have a little bit more experience about the schedule, how to prep, what times I need to be doing certain things. I feel like that’s where the experience comes in, but my mindset is still the same, still fighting and scratching and clawing because as quick as I got it is as quick it can go.”
Kendziera, now 26, considers it one of the most important moments in his track career. When he thinks about that time, however, he doesn’t dwell on being cut. Instead he remembers the sprinting coach’s faith in his abilities and how it bolstered his confidence.

With the Mets down to their final strike, Dominic Smith hit a tying single off Sean Doolittle in the ninth. Brandon Drury opened the bottom of the 10th with an RBI single against Luis Cessa (3-2), driving in automatic runner Kevin Pillar from second base to win it.
The Cubs will be relying on Contreras, Hendricks and Heyward, already considered leaders before the trade-deadline fire sale, to further fill the void left by the departed players. Manager David Ross already has had conversations with Contreras and Heyward about that and plans to talk with Hendricks, too, after his start Saturday.
Kane, 29, is three seasons into a seven-year, $49 million contract. He’s with his third organization after being drafted by and debuting with Atlanta/Winnipeg and a stint in Buffalo. According to Capfriendly, which charts hockey salaries, he has made just less than $56 million during his NHL career.
“I’m excited to be a part of this team. Just the guys that are here, the weapons that this ballclub has, it’s pretty special, and I’m glad to be a part of it. When I found out (Friday), obviously there’s been talks for a couple weeks now, and just wondering if something was going to go down or not. Found out (Friday) afternoon, and honestly, my first reaction was that I was excited because I didn’t have to move. I didn’t have to worry about relocating my family and learning a new routine. Everything on the homefront’s going to be the same.”
