Both experiences would certainly be worthwhile if Hamilton is chosen as one of the main overseers for Fields.

”I’ll have to talk with Crow (assistant coach Marc Crawford), especially on the PK, but there’s enough guys there that can play center and take some draws,” King said. “I’m not sure who’s going to do it, but Carpy is probably the main guy going out there, and then Lafferty can take some draws. Entwistle can take draws.
“Of course always with competitive spirit that I have, because I can’t go against that. It’s my personal DNA,” he said. “But in some way, I don’t know, just be what I am and be able to have the chance to compete at this level, it’s a positive energy for me to keep going.”
That’s why the hiring of a sharp quarterbacks coach, who can be groomed as a future play caller, is essential in the process as well. If Eberflus can find a coordinator on a fast track to becoming a head coach, the Bears would have a self-trained replacement ready for promotion. In reality, it would be a good problem for the Bears to have as soon as, say, 2024.
