Every defensive switch off a pick seemed to end in a mismatch that favored the Spurs. Nikola Vučević and his fellow big men scrambled to keep up with speedy guards such as Dejounte Murray. The Spurs peppered the Bulls with 43.2% 3-point shooting, finishing with 16 baskets from behind the arc. But the size differential worked in the opposite direction, allowing center Jakob Poeltl to bash smaller guards in the paint for 21 points.
With four minutes left in the period, Tyson Jost went low-to-high to J.T. Compher, who fired on Marc-André Fleury from the slot to make it 2-0. Hawks defenseman Connor Murphy lost his stick during a collision with Jost shortly before Compher scored.
Inducted into the Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame at Saratoga Springs, N.Y., in 2019, he will be remembered as one of the giants in Chicago sports history, and his monument was the Arlington International Racecourse, the lavish state-of-the-art racetrack he built and renamed after its famous predecessor, Arlington Park, was destroyed by fire on July 31, 1985.
In 2020, Hamilton was the Chargers quarterbacks coach, working closely with Justin Herbert during his standout rookie season. This season, Hamilton again delivered hands-on tutelage to a rookie, working with Texans quarterback Davis Mills. Both experiences would certainly be worthwhile if Hamilton is chosen as one of the main overseers for Fields.

”I’ll have to talk with Crow (assistant coach Marc Crawford), especially on the PK, but there’s enough guys there that can play center and take some draws,” King said. “I’m not sure who’s going to do it, but Carpy is probably the main guy going out there, and then Lafferty can take some draws. Entwistle can take draws.
“Of course always with competitive spirit that I have, because I can’t go against that. It’s my personal DNA,” he said. “But in some way, I don’t know, just be what I am and be able to have the chance to compete at this level, it’s a positive energy for me to keep going.”
That’s why the hiring of a sharp quarterbacks coach, who can be groomed as a future play caller, is essential in the process as well. If Eberflus can find a coordinator on a fast track to becoming a head coach, the Bears would have a self-trained replacement ready for promotion. In reality, it would be a good problem for the Bears to have as soon as, say, 2024.
El Gráfico, a Salvadoran sports newspaper, headlined the match “En una hielera.” Translation: “In a freezer.” Snow flurries fell during warmups and the temperature was the same as for the “Guerra Fria” win over Mexico at old Columbus Crew Stadium in February 2001 and the Snow Clasico victory over Costa Rica at Commerce City, Colorado, in March 2013.
League sources indicate Eberflus hopes to hire Rich Bisaccia, who finished this season as the interim coach of the Las Vegas Raiders after Jon Gruden stepped down. Bisaccia has been special teams coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Diego Chargers and Dallas Cowboys, with whom he was on the same staff as Eberflus.
