The woman, her daughter and the child were on a sidewalk in the 3100 block of North Broadway about 1:35 p.m. when the daughter heard what she thought was a car backfiring and saw her mother, who was shot, fall to the ground, according to a Chicago police report.
The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives was able to trace five of those weapons to purchases made at guns stores in Kentucky and Tennessee by the three soldiers, Demarcus Adams, Jarius Brunson, and Brandon Miller, according to the charges.
