A 32-year-old man was shot in Humboldt Park Tuesday morning, according to police.
The man was outside 746 N. Trumbull at about 10:18 a.m. when he heard shots then felt pain. He was shot in his back.
Though police could not confirm he was a UPS driver, UPS spokesperson Karen A. Tomaszewski Hill said in a written statement UPS was aware of a situation involving a driver Tuesday morning.
The man has been transported to Stroger Hospital, where he is in stable condition, police said.
Area Four Detectives are investigating, but so far no one is in custody.
“We are thankful that our driver is safe, and we are cooperating with the responding authorities in their investigation,” said Hill in the statement.
