An outreach center is located at the 95th Street address and Duncan is the founder of Chicago CRED. Duncan was CEO of Chicago Public Schools from 2001 to 2008 and U.S. secretary of education from 2009 to 2015.

No one was arrested and detectives are investigating, police said.

More than a dozen people gathered in the parking lot just south of the building Wednesday afternoon as detectives were processing the scene
