On a night when their front-court depth was tested, the Bulls got serviceable minutes from one of their quieter offseason additions in Tony Bradley. Bradley, who played for the Jazz from 2017 to 2020, frustrated two-time All-Star Rudy Gobert throughout the game.
With Notre Dame, which led 17-13 at halftime, clinging to a 31-27 lead early in the fourth quarter, Williams, took a simple handoff from quarterback Jack Coan right and then reversed his field, breaking past defender Tomon Fox. “It was a good bounce- back game after not playing a good game against Colorado,” St. Louis coach Craig Berube said. “I thought we were pretty solid tonight, which was good to see and we still got a couple of guys out of the lineup but it was a good way to find a way to win tonight. It’s a good thing and again we’re going on a road, we’re gonna play LA again, they’re a tough opponent, San Jose, and then Anaheim and Winnipeg. It’s gonna be a tough road trip, but I think we’re ready to get back on the road.”
Minnesota held Northwestern to a three-and-out and capitalized with another field goal from Trickett for a 13-0 first-quarter lead. Marty put together an 11-play, 75-yard drive, capped by a 6-yard touchdown pass to Evan Hull, who accounted for 50 yards of total offense on the drive.

Borom, a fifth-round pick from Missouri, not only missed the previous five weeks, a concussion in training camp sidelined him out for about two weeks. The Bears believe he has the skill set to emerge as a starter at one of the tackle positions, and he was training at left tackle after a domino effect of moves that occurred when second-round pick Teven Jenkins was sidelined with a back injury that led to surgery.
Kevin Cheveldayoff, the assistant general manager during that 2010 championship season and now the Winnipeg Jets general manager, met with Bettman on Friday. But the NHL decided not to take any action against Cheveldayoff, saying in a statement he was “not responsible for the improper decisions” made by the Blackhawks regarding Aldrich.
Brandon Peters, starting for the injured Art Sitkowski, was 14 of 19 passing for 190 yards and two touchdowns for Illinois (3-6, 2-4), including a 52-yard TD pass to Isaiah Williams. Williams caught 3 passes for 67 yards and the touchdown. Daniel Barker caught 2 passes for 47 yards and a touchdown.
Nagy tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday and has been away from the team since, though he has been participating in meetings via Zoom while monitoring practice through a live stream from an undisclosed location. On Wednesday, Nagy declined to say where he was working from during his quarantine period. On Friday, he also declined to say whether he has experienced symptoms during his bout with coronavirus.
