Nick Bosa, 6-foot-4, 266 pounds, is in his third season in San Francisco after the 49ers made him the second pick in 2019 out of Ohio State. Bosa became the sixth player since 1982 to have seven sacks through his first seven games as a rookie, joining Mark Anderson (2006), Julius Peppers (2002), Santana Dotson (1992), James Francis (1990) and Vernon Maxwell (1983). Bosa finished the season with nine sacks (and had four in the postseason) but played in only two games in 2020 because of a torn ACL.

But if Williams can’t return this season, the Bulls will have work to do to fill the void. His injury potentially opens the door for more playing time for Javonte Green, Derrick Jones Jr. or Troy Brown Jr., though it comes at the expense of the bench, which already is thin with White out following shoulder surgery.
