“We talk about the depth each and every day and if things change, you know, I have essentially my board right here and we just start talking it through,” Tabor said. “We know who the people are that will be up and who is going to play and then obviously looking at their skill sets, those players if they are coming from the practice squad, obviously have been going against us all year. So, when we’re coaching our stuff in the room, I’m also coaching those guys also. Now, it might be, ‘Hey, I need you to do this because that’s how Green Bay or Minnesota does it,’ but watch this player right here. This is a guy we have to stop, check out his moves, you can add this into your game.
“We are always analyzing our data and particularly our outcomes,” Sills said. “We are looking at our protocols, together with our experts, together with the Players’ Association. We are looking at them to see how we achieve the safest possible environment for everyone and that causes us to need to constantly respond to adapt the protocols. And so clearly, with the emergence of this new variant, which, as I said, in many ways seems like a new disease, has been an opportunity to reevaluate every aspect of our protocols, and has led to some of the changes.
Monday night’s smorgasbord of errors included three more penalties by rookie left tackle Teven Jenkins, another lost fumble by Fields, a 49-yard field-goal attempt by Cairo Santos that was blocked and, yes, even an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty against Nagy, who blew his top after Deon Bush’s hit on tight end Tyler Conklin during a third-down stop in the first quarter was ruled unnecessary roughness.

Kentucky is coming off Saturday’s 98-69 rout of North Carolina in the CBS Sports Classic in Las Vegas, a matchup rescheduled after both schools’ opponents pulled out following COVID-19 issues. That game helped the Wildcats move up a spot in this week’s poll. Louisville lost 82-72 on Saturday at in-state rival Western Kentucky without senior center Malik Williams, who was reportedly out because of COVID-19 protocols.
In NBA.com records that go back to 1996-97, Michael Jordan led the league in fourth-quarter scoring average that season and in 1997-98, averaging 7.1 and 7.3 points, respectively.
