Right-hander Codi Heuer underwent Tommy John surgery Monday, a source said. As Heuer’s offseason throwing progression picked up in mid-January, he felt discomfort, according to a source, and when rest didn’t resolve the issue, an MRI last week revealed the detached ligament.
