Aaron Judge and several New York Yankees teammates have been preparing at the University of South Florida, Vanderbilt coach Tim Corbin has invited alumni and their pals to use the school’s facilities in Nashville, Tenn., and the union opened a facility in Mesa, Ariz., for players.
“He’s a constant mover, especially at center. … Whereas wingers, you’re more up and down, stops and starts, and you’ve got to be strong on boards and stuff like that. It’s a challenge for him, to stop and start, but it’s a good way for him to learn the game at a different position.”

“Yolbert had a solid year (in 2021), first full season with us over in the states,” Sox assistant general manager/played development Chris Getz said Tuesday. “He hit both at (Class A) Winston-Salem, (Double-A) Birmingham and in the Fall League. That’s certainly a feather in his cap. For Yolbert, (it’s) just completing his game and making it as well rounded as possible. Defensively we’ve got him moving around playing some second base, third base and certainly focusing on shortstop still. The bat seems to be coming along nicely, and often times with middle infielders sometimes you are waiting for the bat.
