During the multiyear joint federal and local investigation, multiple kilograms of heroin and cocaine were seized from Chicago neighborhoods, including a 14-kilogram cocaine seizure in Belmont Cragin and a 2-kilogram seizure in Buena Park. The investigation, dubbed “Operation Tragic Blow,” was led by U.S. Homeland Security officials and Chicago police.

Two women, 18 and 23, were double-parked in a black Toyota sedan in the 300 block of South Western Avenue at 12:02 a.m., according to an online media notification. The driver of a black Chrysler 300 was headed north on Western when he rear-ended the Toyota with his Chrylser, police said.
