“Just like you do at grocery stores, you’ll bring your five items, you’ll put them on a tray, it will scan immediately and tell you what it is you just purchased,” Kenney explained in an interview with the Tribune. “You put your credit card in and you walk away. You’ll never see a concession worker. … We’re trying to reduce wait times in every place that you bottleneck at Wrigley Field.”
Giannoulias, meanwhile, is backed by several powerful Democrats, including Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, retiring U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush, and Chicago Ald. Pat Dowell, 3rd — who dropped a secretary of state bid to run for Rush’s congressional seat.
“That’s probably the most important thing we can do is to protect our police, to build up their ranks, to make sure that they’re properly funded, to make sure that they get the equipment that they need, that they get the body cameras that they have requested, to make sure that we have the cameras, for example, on the highways that’ll help us catch the perpetrators who are shooting on the highways,” Pritzker said at an unrelated bill-signing event in his statehouse office.
He had been scheduled for sentencing on May 4, but in a brief order posted to the docket Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Ann Donnelly moved Kelly’s sentencing date to June 16, apparently because a presentence investigation report, which is relied upon in fashioning punishment, was just submitted Tuesday.
Johnson, 37, a plumber, said he notified Milk & Honey, and went on to see Billy at least three more times over the next few weeks.
