In 1924, the Grant Park Municipal Stadium opened and one year later was was renamed Soldier Field at the request of the Chicago Gold Star Mothers. The stadium has hosted rodeos, music festivals, prep football games, the first Special Olympics and more before becoming the home of the Chicago Bears in 1971. It’s part of the natural circle of life to say goodbye. Nothing lasts forever, but bidding adieu doesn’t have to be a gut-wrenching, tear-driven experience filled with sadness and regret. It’s possible to say goodbye feeling whole and complete, graceful and poised leaving a lasting positive impression with family, friends and neighbors.

It was exhausting for me. For instance, I understand that the vaccine protects me from the more severe symptoms of the disease caused by the COVID virus – that way, even if I contract the virus, I am unlikely to land in the hospital or suffer long-term effects. However, it’s easy to be distracted by other outdoor activities in summer and let watering slide. However, if you have children and other family members who were attached to your wife, they are not living the same experience as you are. Any moves you make might seem too fast for them.
