I don’t believe you should frame this as, “I’ve betrayed you,” but more as, “I’ve relapsed, and I want to get sober again. I’m attending meetings and seeking outside help and support, but I hope you will choose to hold my hand and walk with me.”

Dear Former “Lunch Boy”: This is such a moving and well-deserved tribute to some of the lesser-recognized personnel at school – the lunch staff, librarians, bus drivers, band and choral teachers, janitorial staff, administrative assistants, security officers, and student teachers.

“We continually draw inspiration from landscapes and scientific phenomena, as well as our own experimentation with art processes and materials,” said Rachel Cope, Calico co-founder and creative director. “Our Aurora collection was developed following extensive research in the art of fabric dyeing and draws upon shibori and ombre techniques. Each pattern is a study in the relationship between light, color, place and mood, and explores the emotions expressed by the ever-changing sky.”

Dear Wondering: This story isn’t quite holding together for me (are these children twins, or did these encounters happen over the course of a couple of years?), and so I am trying to imagine the conversation your husband might have with the kids: “When I was 19 I had sex two times with a woman who claimed I fathered both of her children, but I don’t think I did …. Sooooo, just giving you a heads up!”

“We want to help kids realize there are things you encountered that you thought you weren’t going to get past, but you did make it through,” Gillett said. “It’s really important, as I’ve learned from working with all of these psychologists, for kids to be able to tell their own story and have that vocabulary to say, ‘There was something hard and I made it through.’ So that when they go forward and experience any number of challenges, they have that in their memories to say, ‘Oh yeah, but that was hard and I made it through that. I can do it again.’ You have agency here. You have been really brave. Those are skills that are going to equip you in really powerful ways as you move forward.”
