For 10 years, the majority of TV and movie projects in Chicago have been filmed at Cinespace Chicago Film Studios, the soundstage complex in North Lawndale. On Friday TPG Real Estate Partners, the real estate arm of the private equity firm TPG, announced plans to acquire Cinespace, the family-run business where the Dick Wolf shows for NBC film.
However, DePaul University adjunct law professor Alice Setrini said federal laws such as the ADA or Title VII of the Civil Rights Act could also help employers deal with workers balking at a vaccine order. For instance, if an employee, citing a religious exemption, goes to federal court for their refusal to get vaccinated, the employer could be allowed under the law to require the worker to get tested or wear a mask.

The figures point to a historic level of turmoil in the job market as newly-empowered workers quit jobs to take higher pay that is being dangled by increasingly-desperate employers in need of help. Incomes are rising, Americans are spending more and the economy is growing, and employers have ramped up hiring to keep the pace. Rising inflation, however, is offsetting much of the pay gains for workers.

A. The board of directors of a condominium association possesses strong remedies relating to tenants violating the association’s governing documents. Per Section 18.4(l) and 9.2 of the Condominium Act, the owner of the unit may be levied a fine for their tenants’ conduct. Additionally, pursuant to Section 18(n) of the Condominium Act, the association’s governing documents are incorporated into every lease and grant the condominium association the right to evict a tenant for violations of the governing documents, including the prohibition of noxious and offensive activities that is standard in condominium bylaws. In both circumstances, the unit owner is liable for legal fees and costs incurred.
Rukstales’ lawyer, David Benowitz, has argued for probation, saying his client had no intention of “jump-starting a revolution” when he traveled to Washington to attend a rally by then-President Donald Trump. A devout Christian and a charitable family man, Rukstales’ public and professional demise has already served as a tough penalty, Benowitz said.
Finding vehicles can also be a challenge in certain areas. Victoria Park, 42, of Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood, booked a rental from Thrifty for a trip to Phoenix last weekend because her usual car rental company was sold out. But when her flight landed, Thrifty had closed early because it was out of cars, she said.
