“From the moment we entered the bubble to now today, it’s been draining,” Lakers forward LeBron James said after his team was eliminated. “Mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally draining. … Every team has to deal with it, obviously. But with us and Miami obviously going the long haul in the bubble and then coming right back on short notice to this season, it’s been very draining.”

Hoyer is in a new role, but he’s not exactly a fresh face. A McHenry County department of health news release stated that “swimmer’s itch,” or cercarial dermatitis, is an “allergic reaction to certain microscopic parasites that infect some birds and mammals. These parasites are released from infected snails into the water. If the parasite comes into contact with a swimmer, it burrows into the skin causing an allergic reaction and rash.”

The victim was driving in the 2300 block of North Elmwood Avenue at about 10 p.m. when he and his passenger, a Waukegan woman in her 20s, encountered a man in a parking lot. During the encounter, the suspect fired into the victim’s vehicle, wounding the victim in the head and shoulder.
