In the John Doe 2 case, the team’s attorneys argues the Hawks didn’t legally “owe a duty” to warn potential future employers of Aldrich, such Houghton High School or Miami (Ohio) University, where he was accused of assaulting “a non-student adult” and a student in separate off-campus incidents in 2012, the university confirmed through public records requests. Neither person pursued charges.
Bryant came out of Tuesday’s game with right hamstring fatigue, which was later described by manager David Ross as heavy legs. Ross sounded optimistic Bryant would be available off the bench Wednesday, but when a key pinch-hitting spot came up in the 10th inning of the loss, he wasn’t used.

Christopher Solis-Govea, of Evergreen Park, was arrested Tuesday in the 2600 block of West 90th Place, the same block where he lives, according to police. Although Chicago police identified the man as Solis-Govea, he was referred to as Christopher Solis in court.
“I agree with you that there are some people who in police departments who do really good at multiple choice tests that are not the best leaders,” Brown answered. “So, there are gold standard testing programs across the country that other departments have used for years. For whatever reason, Chicago hadn’t adopted best practices. … We want to find the gold standard testing mechanism that fits our needs, and I will be, through the consent decree, aggressively pursuing a replacement for merit.”

“If a game can’t be rescheduled and is canceled due to a COVID outbreak among non-vaccinated players on one of the competing teams, the team with the outbreak will forfeit and will be deemed to have played 16 games for purposes of draft, waiver priority, etc,” Goodell says in the memo.
