Since 2005, meanwhile, the Postal Service has been cited by the federal government 1,150 times for underpaying letter carriers and other employees, including one case that involved 164 violations, according to Labor Department data obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request. The agency determined that those workers lost about $659,000 in pay. But it allowed the Postal Service to pay back less than half after negotiations with the agency — a common practice at the Labor Department. About 19% of the cases did not indicate whether the Postal Service paid back employees.

“This year has been tough for me, obviously, the numbers aren’t where I want them to be,” Ball told the Tribune Tuesday afternoon. “I think COVID year may have had something to do with that, and no excuses at all. But different parts of the game that I take pride in is being a complete hitter — not just solely relying on home runs. That’s what everyone likes to think is power, power, power, which I think I do have. But I also believe in myself that I can drive the ball the other way, situational hitting, stuff like that.”

I wouldn’t move Patrick Williams out of the starting lineup for Millsap, but the Bulls need another reliable true power forward in the rotation. While the Lauri Markkanen sign-and-trade last week made sense for both him and the Bulls, his departure left the team thin in the frontcourt (although Jones could line up at power forward). Plus, Millsap would bring strong defensive tendencies and instincts, traits the Bulls could use more of.
