U-46 is one of more than 140 school districts named as defendants in litigation brought by parents concerning masking and quarantine guidance they feel oversteps its bounds. In the case of U-46, that guidance has been provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Kane, DuPage, and Cook County health departments.
“Naperville 203 will continue to implement the same layered mitigation strategies, per the guidance of the national (CDC), state (IDPH), and local (DCHD) health departments, that have allowed us to successfully navigate through the school year,” according to a District 203 statement from Superintendent Dan Bridges and the school board.
