A shooting in River North left three people injured early Sunday morning, Chicago police said.
The gunfire erupted in the first block of West Hubbard Street at 3:05 a.m., police said in a news release. The block is a popular spot for nightlife, with bars and restaurants lining the street.
Occupants of at least one vehicle shot toward individuals on the sidewalk, a police source told the Tribune.
Three male victims, ages 22, 26 and 32, were standing on the sidewalk when they were struck by gunfire, the Police Department said. All three were transported to Northwestern Hospital Sunday morning, police said.
The 22-year-old victim was shot in the body multiple times and was in critical condition. The 26-year-old was also shot in the body multiple times and was in critical condition. The 32-year-old was shot twice in the arm, and his condition had stabilized, police said.
No one was in custody and detectives are investigating the shooting, police said Monday morning.
