WMAQ-Channel 5 weekday morning news anchor Michelle Relerford and her husband, Chukwudi Okafor, on March 10 sold their four-bedroom, 3,909-square-foot house in Orland Park for $830,000.
A Chicago native, Relerford has been with NBC 5 since 2011 and in 2020 moved up from weekend news anchor to weekday morning news anchor.

In Orland Park, Relerford and her husband bought the house in the Sterling Ridge neighborhood in 2019 for $715,000. The house has 3-1/2 bathrooms, hardwood floors on the main level, a two-story entry, a family room with a gas log fireplace and a two-story ceiling, a first-floor office with French doors and a coffered ceiling, and a kitchen with white 42-inch cabinets, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances and a center island with pendant lighting. The home’s primary bedroom suite has a tray ceiling, two walk-in closets and a dual sink vanity.
The house’s full finished basement has high ceilings, along with vinyl flooring and a full bathroom with a shower, while the house also has an attached 3.5-car garage, a large composite deck and a backyard ringed by an iron fence, all on a 0.32-acre lot.

Relerford and her husband listed the house on Jan. 29 for $850,000 and went under contract to sell it in less than a week.
Relerford did not respond to a request for comment, while listing agents Sherry Landa and Amy Kite declined to comment.
The house had a $17,306 property tax bill in the 2020 tax year.
