A 67-year-old man was pronounced dead after he was discovered unresponsive following a verbal disagreement that turned physical Tuesday morning in the South Shore neighborhood, Chicago police said.
About 9 a.m., the man was discovered with fatal lacerations to the head and lower right leg in the 7100 block of South Cyril Avenue. Police said he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A suspect was taken into custody, and charges are pending.
