Public records do not yet show the buyers of the 5,734-square-foot condo, which had been listed for $8.66 million, and real estate agent Giancarlo Chavez, who represented the buyers, did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Year-to-date, the condo’s sale price trails only an 8,229-square-foot Lincoln Park mansion that sold in an off-market deal in February for $12.5 million; the 26th-floor penthouse in the building at 840 N. Jean Baptiste Point DuSable Lake Shore Drive, which sold in June for $11.25 million; a six-bedroom, an 11,000-square-foot Lincoln Park mansion that sold in February for $9.5 million; and a five-bedroom, 8,000-square-foot penthouse on the 38th and 39th floors of the Lincoln Park 2550 building, which sold in January for $9 million.
