By Dr. Boise Kimber

July 20, 2026

I am proud to offer my strong endorsement of Congressman John B. Larson for re-election to the United States House of Representatives. At this critical moment for our community, our state, and our nation, we need steady, proven, and principled leadership. Congressman Larson has spent his life in public service, standing up for working families, seniors, veterans, small

businesses, and the people too often left behind.

Some say it is time for a new generation of leadership. I believe leadership is not measured by age alone, but by character, courage, wisdom, and results. We are in the seventh game of the championship; this is not the time to take the veteran out and start a rookie in his place.

Experience matters, especially when the stakes are this high.

Congressman Larson brings more than four decades of public service to this work. He has

represented Connecticut’s First District in Congress since 1999, after serving in the Connecticut State Senate and rising to President Pro Tempore. In Washington, he has earned the respect of colleagues through his service on the powerful Ways and Means Committee and through his leadership on issues that directly affect the lives of Connecticut families.

Most importantly, Congressman Larson has been one of the nation’s strongest champions for protecting and expanding Social Security. His Social Security 2100 Act reflects a clear

commitment to seniors who have worked hard, paid into the system, and deserve to retire with dignity. He has also fought to strengthen health care, lower prescription drug costs, support clean energy jobs, and invest in Connecticut’s future.

As a pastor, I believe public leadership should be rooted in service, truth, compassion, and accountability. John Larson has shown that kind of leadership. He understands that government is not simply about titles or power; it is about protecting people, opening doors of opportunity, and making sure every person is treated with dignity.

No one should question the importance of new voices in public life, but neither should we

dismiss the value of tested leadership when our communities need someone who already knows how to deliver. Congressman Larson has the relationships, the knowledge, and the commitment to keep fighting for Connecticut at the highest levels of government.

For these reasons, I ask voters to join me in supporting Congressman John B. Larson. He is anchored in faith, rooted in service, and committed to the people of Connecticut. At a time when experience, integrity, and results matter, John Larson remains the right leader for this moment.

Respectfully,

Rev. Dr. Boise Kimber, President
