Chicago police said shortly after 10:15 p.m., the student was standing in a park when she was shot in the 1600 block of Howard Avenue. She was taken to Ascension St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, where she was treated for wounds to the chest and abdomen, police said.
She was reportedly in good condition, police said.
