A man was arrested Saturday night after driving an unauthorized vehicle onto the NASCAR racetrack, police said.
The 46-year-old man drove into a barrier based on a preliminary investigation around 9 p.m., just after the night’s race was postponed due to lightning.
Police said the track wasn’t in use at the time and charges are pending.
NASCAR representatives declined to comment on the incident.
