Fawell was part of one of DuPage’s best-known political families. His late brother, Bruce, was a chief judge in DuPage’s circuit court, while his late sister-in-law, Beverly, was a state senator who later worked for the Illinois State Tollway. And Fawell’s late twin brother, Thomas, was the longtime chairman and then executive director of the DuPage Airport Authority.
