When Kai Cenat announced the return of Streamer University after a nine-month hiatus from streaming, the internet responded in record time. More than one million viewers tuned in across Twitch and YouTube to watch the livestream, making it one of the largest creator-focused broadcasts of the year. But beyond the numbers, the 2026 edition of Streamer University signals something much larger: the continued evolution of livestreaming into one of entertainment’s most influential industries.

Now in its second year, Streamer University has expanded far beyond a creator bootcamp. The immersive, multi-day event brings together more than 100 content creators to live on a college campus, collaborate, attend workshops, and create content around the clock. Equal parts reality show, networking conference, and digital media academy, the experience has become one of the internet’s most anticipated annual events.

One of the biggest reasons for the event’s growing popularity is its increasingly diverse roster of “professors.” While established streamers remain central to the curriculum, Cenat has continued to recruit celebrities from music, television, and entertainment, underscoring how livestreaming has become a space embraced by mainstream talent.

Among this year’s most notable additions is Lizzo, who joins the faculty after becoming an active Twitch creator herself. During the class reveal, Cenat praised the Grammy Award-winning artist’s enthusiasm for streaming, explaining that she wanted to contribute to the next generation of creators. Her addition reflects a broader trend of musicians using livestreaming to build more authentic relationships with audiences outside of traditional album cycles and tours.

Another high-profile addition is T-Pain, whose reputation in the streaming world has grown significantly over the past several years. Already known for regularly streaming on Twitch and connecting with fans through gaming and live conversations, T-Pain was elevated beyond a traditional teaching role and named one of Streamer University’s club directors. His presence bridges two generations of entertainment, demonstrating how established recording artists are embracing creator culture rather than simply observing it from afar.

Music was also represented by Queen Naija, who joined the Streamer University roster as a student. The singer quickly embraced the collaborative spirit of the event, even participating in a songwriting session alongside T-Pain that became one of the week’s standout livestream moments. The collaboration illustrated how Streamer University encourages creators from different industries to experiment in real time while fans watch the creative process unfold live.

Hollywood representation also expanded this year with actress Skai Jackson joining the 2026 class. Best known for her television career, Jackson’s inclusion reflects how actors and traditional entertainers are increasingly recognizing livestreaming as a meaningful extension of their personal brands. Rather than appearing solely as celebrity guests, figures like Jackson are participating directly in the creator ecosystem, engaging with audiences through interactive content instead of scripted productions.

The event also showcased creators who have built careers almost entirely online. One of the most talked-about personalities throughout the week was WardrobeWinter, whose energetic personality and viral reactions quickly became fan favorites across social media. Clips of WardrobeWinter, celebrating their acceptance into Streamer University, spread rapidly online, highlighting how the event continues to introduce rising creators to millions of viewers.

Beyond celebrity appearances, Streamer University remains rooted in its original mission: creating opportunities for emerging creators. Participants included well-known personalities such as Sketch, Fanum, Duke Dennis, Agent 00, Plaqueboymax, Stable Ronaldo, JasontheWeen, YourRAGE, and Catrnado, alongside dozens of up-and-coming streamers selected through a competitive application process. Throughout the week, students participated in collaborative challenges, classroom sessions, and livestreams designed to help them grow both creatively and professionally.

The scale of the event continues to set new benchmarks for livestreaming. According to industry analytics, Streamer University 2026 generated more than 56.7 million hours watched, attracted approximately 1.45 million peak concurrent viewers, and inspired broadcasts from more than 6,000 participating channels. Kai Cenat himself accumulated roughly 9.45 million hours watched during the event while simultaneously streaming on Twitch and YouTube for the first time.

Those figures highlight a significant shift in the entertainment landscape. Streamer University is no longer simply a gathering of online personalities. It has become a destination where musicians, actors, influencers, and digital creators converge to collaborate, experiment, and reach audiences that rival many traditional television broadcasts.

As livestreaming continues to reshape how audiences consume entertainment, Kai Cenat has positioned Streamer University as more than an internet event. It has become a blueprint for what creator-led entertainment can look like in the future—one where celebrity status, community building, and real-time audience engagement exist in the same classroom
