Jon Najarian, the former football player and trader who long has been a staple on CNBC’s financial programs as an expert on stocks and options, and his wife, Brigid, sold a four-bedroom Greystone-style house in Lincoln Park for $1.5 million.
Najarian, 64, played four preseason games for the Chicago Bears in 1981 before leaving football to trade at the Chicago Board Options Exchange. In addition to appearing weekly on CNBC, Najarian is the co-founder of Chicago-based Market Rebellion, a firm that provides trading education for options and other securities.

In Lincoln Park, Najarian and his wife had owned the three-story, 4,200-square-foot Greystone since buying it in 1998 for $975,000. They currently own another house elsewhere in Lincoln Park that they bought in 2008 through a land trust for $1.85 million.
Built in 1885, the house that the Najarians sold on May 27 has 4-1/2 bathrooms, three wood-burning fireplaces, two gas fireplaces, a first-floor primary bedroom, a library, a second-floor living room and a lower level with a den, a wine cellar and storage. The kitchen was renovated in 2005 and 2006 with top-of-the-line appliances, according to listing information.
