A 50-year-old Glenview man was stabbed to death early Monday morning during what police are calling a “domestic-related incident.”
The victim has been identified as Perron Thurston of Glenview. Police said they responded to a call shortly after 6:30 a.m. for a report of a stabbing in the 1100 block of Arbor Lane, where they discovered Thurston. He was transported to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said in a news release.
Police said that they have a person of interest in custody but had no further information to release.
Village detectives are investigating the case with assistance from the North Regional Violent Crimes Task Force (NORTAF), the Cook County state’s attorney’s office and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Glenview Police said they believe this was a targeted incident and that there is no apparent threat to the public.
