‘Everybody was ok’ after delays and evacuations for CTA customers when rail signal falls onto tracks, fire officials

Paramedics checked out several customers, but nobody was injured, said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford, who said they responded at 6:42 a.m. to 945 W. Belmont Ave. in the city’s Lakeview neighborhood, when two trains were halted and “trapped” after power was shut down when the rail signal fell.
