Eaton and Maggio are the infant’s parents and they previously dated, according to the release.
Maggio was arrested at his home and is being held at the Will County Adult Detention Facility, according to the release.
Lockport police Deputy Chief Ron Huff said the two-year investigation required detectives to review more than 100 pieces of evidence and follow many leads.
“It was really good detective work that allowed us to make an arrest in the case,” Huff said.
