So far, only about 29,000 students have signed up, Martinez said Tuesday — and not all of them are participating regularly. Last week, COVID-19 testing capacity at CPS was around 23,000, Martinez said. But he said before Thanksgiving, that should ramp up to “well over 30,000, close to 40,000.”
