Police are asking for the public’s help after two teenagers were shot and killed in unincorporated Glenview on Saturday night, officials said.
“The investigation is still ongoing,” Sherbbn Mohammad with the Cook County Sheriff’s office said Monday.
“We don’t currently have any updates at this time,” she said. “They’re still investigating.”
The Cook County sheriff’s office said officers were called to an apartment complex in the 10400 block of Michael Todd Terrace in unincorporated Glenview on a report of shots fired shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday.
“Upon arrival, officers discovered two male victims with multiple gunshot wounds,” police said in a statement.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified the victims as, Jose Guzman, 16, who was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple gunshot wounds. His death was ruled a homicide. The second victim is identified as Carlos Guzman, 19, who was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where later he was pronounced dead. Both victims lived in the apartment complex but it was unclear Monday if they were related.
No suspects were in custody as of Monday morning, and anyone with information is asked to call Cook County Sheriff’s detectives at 708-865-4896.
