Tony La Russa last managed in 2011 when the St. Louis Cardinals won the World Series. The 76-year-old won three World Series titles as the manager of the Oakland A’s (1989) and Cardinals (2006, ’11). La Russa spent parts of eight seasons managing the Chicago White Sox (1979-86), leading them to the AL West title in 1983. He has a 2,728-2,365 career record in 33 seasons.
