In an ultimate game changer, a concealed carry license holder fired back at two men who fired at him while he was walking to his vehicle that was parked in the Loop neighborhood, Chicago police said.

Shortly before 3:40 a.m. Saturday, a 31-year-old man was walking to his parked vehicle in the first block of West Randolph Street when a red SUV passed him and someone inside opened fire in his direction, police said.

The man is CCL holder, pulled out his weapon and fired several rounds. The SUV fled the scene but the victim saw a suspect get out of the victim’s vehicle, and flee on foot. The other culprits drove themselves to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where they were placed into custody.

Police said the men, both 22, suffered gunshot wounds. One of them was shot in the left knee, and the other suffered a wound to the buttocks. The third suspect hasn’t been caught.
