Sox right fielder Adam Eaton left the game before the sixth with right hamstring tightness, and reliever Michael Kopech fell after delivering a pitch in the seventh and limped off the field as third baseman Yoán Moncada caught a popup for the final out. The Sox said Kopech has a sore left hamstring and both he and Eaton are day to day.
“We will work, in that case, with state officials and follow their lead,” O’Reilly said. “We sit here in May. So there’s a lot of time between now and the preseason for things to evolve. But we, in this case, will really depend on and defer to local and state authorities when it comes to things like that.”
