The 2016 Cubs will always have a special bond, and almost every time one of them comes back to Wrigley Field with a different team they’re treated like royalty. “If we get another one, I have things that I want to say about him,” La Russa said. “But I’m not going to say them tonight. Mostly this is such a celebration of our ballclub, doing great to get ahead and coming back and what (reliever Garrett) Crochet did. I’ll say something when the next one comes, hopefully sooner rather than later. I just think this is a game to celebrate for our team.”
