“I don’t know if it’s gonna be for the Reds, I don’t know if it’s gonna be for my bosses at Fox. I apologize to the people who sign my paycheck, to the Reds, Fox Sports Ohio, the people I work with, anybody that I’ve offended here tonight — I can’t begin to tell you how deeply sorry I am. What’s the best way to take care of that? And that’s what I’ve been doing this offseason. That’s why I’ve taken the time I’ve taken and done the things or not done the things that I’ve done. And I’m very thankful for that time.
“The biggest thing at this level is definitely the mindset,” Rodón said. “Everybody up here is the best in the world, obviously, and if not, they wouldn’t be here. What you bring to the table mentally, your mental toughness, your mental focus, is what will set you apart. I just try to lock in on that.”

“For me, it just definitely restores that sense of gratitude when you are playing the game and you’re on the field, especially in the major leagues, is a really special thing to be able to do,” Hoerner said. “I don’t think I’ve taken it for granted much before. But more than ever, when you’re hurt and you come back, you just kind of take a look up to the fans and everyone.”
