Northwestern appeared to be a favorable matchup for the Scarlet Knights (3-4, 0-4), who were coming off three consecutive games against opponents currently ranked in the top 10. But five of Rutgers’ first six drives ended in punts, and they couldn’t find the end zone after halftime. Though quarterback Noah Vedral hit all four of his passes on Rutgers’ only scoring drive, he had an inconsistent day, going 18 of 30 for 152 yards.

And because of the archaic NFL rules at the time, the game was being blacked out in Chicago, so Jerry came up with the idea to watch it from Peoria — far enough away from blackout restrictions. After Bob received permission from his wife to leave, and blew off a previous engagement with friends, the two fans made the three-plus hour drive on a Saturday night, checked in to a room with an old, 20-inch TV and headed down to the bar to relax.
“They all have their own strengths and weaknesses, so probably the thing we need to do as coaches is making sure we’re using those strengths, whether it’s a type of scheme in the run game, whether it’s a protection in the pass game, just to make it a little easier,” Nagy said. “You have a younger guy, like a rookie, like Khalil. You have a guy that hasn’t seen as many defenses as somebody like David, whether it’s the vision when you get a handoff and how you read the three-tech and whether you cut in or break outside. Or if it’s a blitz, that Mike linebacker comes up in the A-gap versus coming off the D-gap. … We just have to temper with a younger guy how much volume we put on him, that he doesn’t get tripped.”
Correa, who has been with the Astros since being selected first overall in 2012, will be a free agent at season’s end, and it seems likely he won’t remain in Houston. He has a history of big hits for the Astros that includes 18 postseason home runs, several of them in key situations.

But there are weaknesses to work out, Donovan said, as the Bulls had too many offensive possessions in which they weren’t flowing, sometimes affecting their defense. The team was running well offensively and took good shots that didn’t fall, then started pressing, Donovan said.
“Nice to come from behind and force overtime, give yourself some hope, but when we lose those, even in overtime, they don’t feel good,” Johnathan Toews said. “So you always have an easier time looking at the things that went wrong and things you can improve on when you don’t get two points.”

In Arlington Heights, visitors can find everything from an Irish pub and at least two farm-to-table restaurants, to pizza, sushi, Thai food and fine dining within walking distance of the Metra stop. The downtown is also home to scores of boutiques, coffee shops, live music venues, a craft beer shop and a BYO painting studio.
