Statewide, about 1,800 workers have been fired, resigned or retired because of the governor’s mandate, state officials said. Rolovich was the highest-paid state employee in Washington at $3.2 million per year. He was fired for cause and will not be paid the balance of his contract.

Ethics board executive director Steve Berlin in a statement said the board “hopes that all who read about this matter realize that when they contact City officials to ask for support for or to persuade them about specific matters, they may well be engaging in lobbying, and, under City law, may need to register, and that they then register or contact our office with the specifics so we can advise them.”
“For every quarterback, there’s always a couple when you look at them, you say, ‘OK, hey, without trying to make a crazy good play, you get rid of the football,’” Nagy said. “The one that he would tell you probably that he wants back — now, there’s different reasons for some of the sacks. The one that I think is a little bit more common of the throwaway, just the easy throwaway, was the one where he took the sack earlier in the game. He rolled to the left, kind of sprinted out, he was waiting to see something happen and it wasn’t there instead of just dumping it out and saving a sack.

“We probably didn’t deserve to come out on top in any of the first three games, but today if a couple of those go our way early on, we feel it’s a different game,” Toews said. “You know, we’ll find that consistency as a team. We’ll settle in.”

“I was on the line of scrimmage to the left, came on a blitz on the outside,” Ogletree said. “They pulled, the guard tried to knock me upfield, but I sped back. Obviously he likes to step up in the pocket. So I got to the level of the quarterback, spun back around and he fell right into my arms. I wish I would’ve gotten the ball out, but it was a good sack for sure.”
“I know I was drafted out west, but I think I stayed consistent with those Midwestern values,” Parker said. “Those Midwestern values are that grit, grind and that blue collar, and this team demonstrated all of that this year coming in and working hard.”
