COLUMBUS, OHIO — The Chicago Blackhawks had to dig deep into their defensive depth after Seth Jones and Jake McCabe entered COVID-19 protocols before Tuesday’s game, and the “leftover” blue-liners came up big for the Hawks, contributing to three goals in a 4-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena.
With Javonte Green, Tyler Cook and Alex Caruso also currently sidelined, the Bulls can’t plan to rest any of their stars without slimming the roster significantly. Caruso could clear COVID-19 protocols this week to become the first to return; however, Green is out for at least two more weeks, and Cook could be sidelined for a similar period.

Over the past three seasons, there were 655 home runs hit at Camden Yards. American League East opponents New York, Boston, Toronto and Tampa Bay have combined for 217 home runs in 98 games at Oriole Park since 2019, while the Orioles themselves have hit 281 in 196 games at their home ballpark. In all, 57% of the home runs hit at Camden Yards since Elias and Mejdal took over the Orioles’ front office and launched a full-scale rebuild have been hit by opposing teams.
Both sides would increase the minimum salary, players from $570,500 to $775,000 this season and management to a series of tiers: $600,000 for players with less than a year of big league service, $650,000 for at least one but less than two and $700,000 for at least two.
