But her performances at these Games, including her skate into first place during the women’s short program Tuesday, will always be marred by a large, black asterisk. She failed a pre-Olympics doping test. The Court of Arbitration for Sport, which settles international sports disputes, allowed her to continue competing. If she wins gold, silver or bronze, however, the medal ceremony will be put on hold until her case is decided.
The network announced multiyear contract extensions Tuesday for play-by-play voice Jon Sciambi and analyst Jim Deshaies. Sciambi took over in the lead play-by-play position for Marquee last year, while Deshaies is entering his 10th season in the Cubs TV booth.
